Smithville has a full Saturday planned for Nov. 14, 2026. The Airing of the Quilts runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the Smithville Garden Club’s 50th annual Tour of Homes runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Both are in this Bastrop County town, so you can easily do them together.
What is the Airing of the Quilts?
The Explore Bastrop County calendar describes it as a day celebrating quilting, creativity and community, with a colorful outdoor display. The Smithville Stitchers Quilt Guild hosts it at the Smithville Recreation Center.
What is on the Tour of Homes?
This is the tour’s 50th year. Texas Co-op Power lists these details:
- Stops: Five homes in historic Smithville
- Tickets: $20 per person
- Kids: Children need their own ticket and must be with an adult
- Where to buy: The quilt show at the Recreation Center, the Smithville Chamber of Commerce or at each house
- Questions: (512) 789-1927, or the Smithville Garden Club Facebook page
How should you plan the day?
The quilts start first, so one easy plan is to begin at the Recreation Center, pick up your tour ticket there and head out when the homes open at 11 a.m. Visit Smithville can help with other questions at (512) 237-2313.
Listings for these events show slightly different street addresses, so please confirm the address and details with the organizers before you go.
What else is happening on Nov. 14?
Back in Bastrop, the same Saturday brings the Heroes and Hot Rods car show. See our Veterans Weekend schedule and November events roundup for more.
